What People Are Saying
Retired State Representative for Hampshire's 3rd District
Anyone who’s met Mindy knows she’s an absolute dynamo. If I were making a list of all the requirements for being successful in the state legislature, Mindy would check every box. She’s energetic, focused, smart, and savvy. She brings amazing empathy to everything she does – she knows when to listen, and when to act.
Northwestern District Attorney
[Mindy] knows how to listen – she has an amazing ability to build coalitions and relationships...As our representative, Mindy will never forget that it’s not just about setting good policy and legislation – it’s about helping people. We need a leader like Mindy, who will advocate for our rights and fight for our fair share of resources in the state legislature.
Current State Representative for Hampshire's 3rd District
I've known Mindy Domb as a dedicated community servant, and I’ve found her passionate and articulate on her priority issues. I hope you will join me in voting for her in the September 4th election.
Jeffrey Levi, Ph.D.
Former Executive Director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force
Former Deputy Director of the White House Office of National AIDS Policy
I’ve known Mindy for over 30 years – since she played a critical role in fighting for LGBT rights and people living with HIV from the early days of the epidemic. I can’t think of a stronger advocate for all people who need a better deal from the government. I strongly endorse her election as State Representative.
I have known Mindy for over a decade as a dedicated and caring collaborator in HIV prevention efforts and in supporting people who work in, and get services from, drug and alcohol treatment programs and basic needs services. She is a determined and effective advocate in the fight for equity and reducing health disparities. I value her understanding of, and passion to fight, injustice and inequality.
You know how some people just make everything better? Mindy Domb is one of these exceptional people...She empathizes, organizes and gets things done.
Heather and John Hornik
We think that Mindy is terrific. She is smart and effective, a woman with an open mind and an open heart. Throughout her career in public service, she has demonstrated compassion and concern for all people in our community. Most recently, as Executive Director of the Amherst Survival Center, she has worked very effectively in our community and the western Mass region to secure the necessities of food, clothing, and shelter for all.
Mindy will work for the most vulnerable among us, and as a result we will all be raised up.
[Mindy] believes that we should ask those most affected by an issue to be involved in shaping a policy solution, and that each policy issue is an opportunity to ask ourselves “how will we better care for each other and solve this problem.”
Helping people navigate the system — be it government agencies or health care or social services — is baked into her DNA.
From my experience as Treasurer for the Ellen Story Committee for 12 years, I know Mindy will bring the same level of integrity and commitment to the State Representative position.
It is obvious that Mindy does whatever she says she will do and then some. She communicates what she needs from people, is interested in what they have to say, and inspires them to do more.
I am both appreciative and in awe of Mindy Domb’s commitment to working tirelessly, on our behalf, to elect more women to statewide offices by providing leadership on Elizabeth Warren’s and Maura Healey’s first campaigns, and her extraordinary efforts and management skills in working towards closing the food insecurity gap in our region in her role as the Executive Director of the Amherst Survival Center.
[Mindy] has the courage, focus and political savvy to work effectively with legislative colleagues, and to advocate strongly for the issues impacting all of us.
Through her career she has developed a deep knowledge about a wide range of issues, including economic and food insecurity, health care, drug use and overdose prevention, LGBTQI rights, reproductive rights and fighting stigma. She represents the progressive values that are embedded in our community.
In my decades of professional social work, I’ve never experienced a better trainer than Mindy Domb. She is engaged, thoughtful and an excellent listener who motivates others and inspires accountability.
Mindy's leadership at the Amherst Survival Center has been brilliant, compassionate, inspiring, as was her work in election campaign for Elizabeth Warren and so many other politically progressive causes.
I’ve seen what Mindy Domb has done for 6,000 people a year. I know she can do that for 40,000 people.
Sarah Goff, MD
Call it Healthcare for All, call it Medicare for All, call it what you will - primary care doctors across the country (and around the world) understand the need for access to affordable high quality health care to be healthy and thrive. Ms. Domb’s strong support for government ensuring this need met is high on my list of reasons to vote for her.
Rev. Georgeanne Greene
Mindy has a breadth of experience across a wide range of issues, and she is humble enough to seek counsel from the rich resources of our community in areas where more expertise is needed.
Marilyn and Jeff Blaustein
Her cooperative, engaging spirit is inspirational to others.
Mindy is analytical, and she knows how to bring about positive change.
Marisa Catalina Casey
As a woman, an immigrant, and a fellow nonprofit worker, I see the values that attracted me to this area in Domb...she has the experience, passion, and heart to fight for everything that makes this district such a wonderful place to live.
Mindy is a rare gem: smart, compassionate and committed to progressive values. I can't imagine someone more suited to fill the seat formerly held by Ellen Story.
I support Mindy Domb because she has strong progressive values and she has in-depth experience working to help those in her community.
Mindy has the rare ability to envision both broad change as well as all the realistic steps needed to make it happen. She is at her best working in coalition with others, and I’ve seen her enthusiastically work behind the scenes or lead the way. Whatever is most likely to drive the needed change, she’ll do it.
The right experiences and values to represent us well in Boston and beyond.
Mindy would serve her district with determination and conviction and great care. She would stand by us all.
I support Mindy because she has the life experiences, the compassion, and the listening skills to advocate for her constituents at the State House.
I'm supporting Mindy because of her progressive ideas, her energy, and her integrity.
