I am supporting Mindy Domb in the race to be our next state representative from the 3rd Hampshire District (Amherst, Pelham and Granby Precinct 1) and I urge you to consider doing so as well.
I met Domb when we worked together to run the Amherst campaign to elect Elizabeth Warren to the U.S. Senate six years ago. I’ve learned a lot from her and I admire her strengths.
Domb is a passionate and effective advocate. She is concerned about people and their lives and seeks out opportunities to understand the challenges they face. She is a quick learner.
Domb is genuinely interested in other people and can hear other points of view. Her maturity and evenhandedness in dealing with others make her a true coalition-builder. She is a first-rate community organizer, with demonstrated success in bringing together people and organizations for coalitions around issues and activities.
Domb has excellent communication and social skills. I’ve seen her use these skills in groups and one-on-one to educate, advocate and persuade. She shares her thoughts on issues and discusses her strategic thinking, while being open to other ideas.
Through her career she has developed a deep knowledge about a wide range of issues, including economic and food insecurity, health care, drug use and overdose prevention, LGBTQI rights, reproductive rights and fighting stigma. She represents the progressive values that are embedded in our community.
I hope that you will join me in helping Domb to become our next state representative. She is the right person to represent and advocate for our community in the Statehouse.
